This is a rehabilitation project of a four-storey building, set in a hillside lot, which resulted from a pre-existing building from the first half of the 18th century. The project is characterized by the complete restoration of the building with maintenance of its volume, facade height and coverage, as well as the composition of its elevations and the use of the same constructive solutions.
The previous eight houses and a shop are replaced by seven houses and one parking space, difference that results from the option of having only a larger house on the 1st floor. This amendment intends to replace what was the initial structure of this floor, a Instead, he belonged to the same family. All other floors maintain an existing left / right structure. Some interior walls were demolished, which made up interior compartments, in order to obtain larger living areas and eliminate existing unventilated spaces.
Most of the houses maintain their initial structure: rooms in the main elevation, living rooms and kitchens in the back, and sanitary facilities in the interior, freeing the facades for the spaces of stay. It was also demolished all the unlicensed buildings, which colonized the terraces in the back, which allowed to create large balconies and terraces, with stunning views of the Rio Tejo.
