Single House in Aravaca
Residentials
Madrid, ES - 2001
470 m2
Completed
The project appears on uneven, narrow and long terrain with a strong gradient. The house does not seem to have windows but has lots of light, which makes it cozy. It seems closed but opens to the garden and the view of the Madrid silhouette. It is next to other houses but when you look out the window it looks like you are in the field. Next to the street was created a patio-square where the parking is located and from which all accesses are resolved. Here the house presents itself as a monolithic volume of three floors. Due to the unevenness, on the opposite side, facing the garden the house has only 1 ground floor with an upper floor recessed.
The entrance hall from the said courtyard already reveals the living room located on the upper floor. In this are also the dining room, the kitchen and, at a slightly higher elevation, the master bedroom. Upstairs are the children's bedrooms. The spaces between the house and the longitudinal boundaries of the lot are colonized in a varied way. To the north, the living space expands to the outside with a patio that allows you to introduce light and separate the front and back of the garden, giving more privacy to the pool. To the south, the dining room extends to an outside terrace, and there is a patio to the service area located on the entrance floor.
