The Hotel located in São Paulo Square, in Lisbon, is a rehabilitacion of an 18th century building. The projec is developed in order to preserve the building’s Memory, through the conservation of its fundamental elements, allowing the History of the building and its surroundings to be told. In that sense, is propose a re-creation of the “Casa Pombalina” that will constitute one of the most emblematic Suites, that will include a “Pombalino” decorative concept as well as period furniture. This “Casa Pombalina” will not only provide unique sensorial and temporal experiences, but will also allow the development of research work, parallel to the Project design and its following construction.
Through this project it is also intended to obtain the most possible area for commercial/restaurant purposes on the Ground Floor, creating a continuity between S. Paulo Square and Remolares street, allowing the implementation of stores and restaurants with proper scale (some might even communicate directly with the Hotel). This proposal allows a significantly increase of value to the Promoter’s asset, through the increase of available comercial surface.
