The old Odeon cinema had been vacant for over 20 years and was in a very advanced state of decay outside and, above all, inside. The project was conceived as a large central “void”, which comprises the auditorium of the movie theatre, which is fully recovered, as well as the seats, the stage and the backstage. The “solid” is completed with rooms of different types.
Outside, all the decorative elements are fictitious, juxtaposed to a façade structure with a metric of income building, like others in downtown. The corbels are not in stone, but in plaster, as are the cornices and the frames. All are recovered, or reproduced, as well as the iron gallery, which, like a veil, surrounds the building.
