Offices & Hotel Barceló Torre Arias
Hospitality
Madrid, ES - 2001
1350 m2
Completed
The project presents a geometry conditioned by the limits of the plot. The ground floor plan is built by large glass surfaces, which produce the feeling of lack of gravity in the access to the hotel, also achieving a spatial continuity that allows to extend the square to the interior and vice versa. The main body of the hotel features a reticulated structure with large gaps. In the project it was tried to obtain a contemporary architectural image, without giving up a certain rest and simplicity of a traditional volumetric structure (basement, main body and finish).
