There was a pre-existence and a concrete structure already built, with pillars, slabs, stairs, cellars... A new program and a new image for the building were elaborated in relation to the approved project.
The main idea is the creation of a regular plan, defined by a guard / facade made up of metallic bars, painted in white, with a wooden handrail as a summary of the types of guards in the buildings of Avenidas Novas (metallic, with wooden handrails, terraces with masonry parapet). The size and rhythm of the metallic profiles, which provide the facade guards, allow to create a translucent continuous plane, from the inside, and opaque when viewed from the outside, guaranteeing the privacy of those who live there.
